In 2000, the North Carolina General Assembly passed legislation allowing the Manufactured Housing Board to start a continuing education program for salespeople and set-up contractors. In response to this legislation, the professional development committee has worked many long hours with the Department of Insurance to provide continuing education courses for members.

All retailers and set-up contractors who received their licenses prior to January 1, 2002 must take the continuing education hours to be able to renew their license by July 2003.
