Rolly Bannister, Jr. is Inducted into the RV/MH Hall of Fame

Rolly Bannister, Jr., Garner, NC is one of 12 industry leaders nationwide to be inducted into the RV/MH Hall of Fame’s Class of 2006.

Owner and operator of Indian Creek Overlook, a manufactured home community in Garner, he is the first Wake County leader in his industry to be inducted into this national Hall of Fame. In the Hall of Fame’s entire 34-year history, just seven North Carolinians have been inducted. This honor marks the crowning achievement for a man who has worked the better part his life in the manufactured housing industry.

Bannister is one of the first manufactured home land developers in the Wake County area. In addition to owning Indian Creek, he has owned and operated retailer manufactured home centers and a manufactured home supply company.

As a leader in the Greater Wake County area in developing the concept of land/home packages, he has enabled many retailers to obtain better financing and greatly improve the overall product of manufactured housing. Bannister is a former President of the North Carolina Manufactured Housing Institute (NCMHI) and is co-founder of the Capital Area Manufactured Housing Association, a local chapter of the NCMHI.

“This is an extremely high honor for someone in our industry,” said Brad Lovin, Executive Director of the North Carolina Manufactured Housing Institute. “No one is more deserving than Rolly Bannister. He is a national treasure for the manufactured housing industry who not only gives generously to the industry, but also to the community. It is a fitting honor for such a fine person.”

The Class of 2006 induction ceremony was held at the national RV/MH Hall of Fame located in Elkhart, Indiana on Monday, August 7, 2006.

The RV/MH Hall of Fame Heritage Foundation has been honoring inductees into the RV/MH Hall of Fame since its inception in 1972.
